NET 3.5 SP1This post describes two gotchas with the Form View control when binding:1) When performing two way databinding, Null values and Nullables get changed to string. 2) Two way binding is not supported for nested controls.

Since two way binding is not supported for the First Name Text Box, the special code for extracting values is not generated resulting in null being sent back for the First Name property. I just don't understand why using a nested control doesn't work properly.

Using the list box I am able to display the old and new responses.

Could you please help with providing the user the ability of either accepting the changes or cancel. I am concerned that e.cancel = true may be set for both and as long as that is the case it will abort.

This allows you to provide an event handler that performs a custom routine, such as canceling the update operation, whenever this event occurs.

A Details View Update Event Args object is passed to the event handler, which allows you to determine the index of the record being updated and to indicate that the update operation should be canceled.
